3D Printed Buckle

Graduate Fashion Week, Lydia Ward Studios. I had the pleasure and privilege to collaborate with Designer Lydia Ward on her Graduate Fashion Week collection. Together we created a digitally fabricated XL Victorian-style buckle. Lydia provided designs and measurements, I was tasked to translate them into functional garment accessories that could rotate and fasten fabric.

We went through two rounds of drafts, opting for a print-in-place design that had sculpted ornate details and lightweight enough to not weigh the fabric down. There's a special kind of magic working with a talent like Lydia, her mind simply astounds me. I was so grateful to attend her catwalk and see all of her hard work in action, and even try on the pieces myself.
